THE CHALLENGE
A privately held food distributor and casual dining Canadian restaurant chain with over 100 restaurants ordered new thermal bags used to serve take-out that were printed incorrectly.
HOW ICON UNCOVERED VALUE
Rather than throw out the incorrectly printed bags, ICON agreed to purchase the bags as-is.
RESULTS
The company entered into an agreement with ICON and in exchange for purchasing the bags, the company simply agreed to purchase a portion of their media in Canada, including French cable, network TV and radio from ICON. The company has worked with ICON on five additional transactions involving excess food inventory.
